A Brave New Employment World with Ingrid Vaughan | Lunch N Learn
The labour landscape has changed significantly since 2019, prior to the onset of COVID. Over the last two years workers have undergone a myriad of changes in their work environments and job expectations. Many have re-evaluated their priorities and are returning to the workforce with different mindsets, world views and expectations. Emerging trends are showing that workplace norms have already changed and will likely never go back to “business as usual”.
Given the current and ongoing labour shortages, employers will need continue to adapt and shift to these new norms if they want to compete for the workers that are available. Businesses who want to thrive in the coming months and years will need to understand what is driving job seekers to accept new positions and that retention of existing staff is the key to survival. This workshop identifies these new norms and offers strategies for how to recruit and retain talent now, and for the foreseeable future.
